How does it work? Picocare’s lightning fast 450 picosecond pulse duration shatters the targeted pigment in your skin into infinitely small particles that can be easily removed by your body’s natural elimination processes. And it’s ultra-precise. This means there’s minimal risk of damage to surrounding tissue, while the pigment is more easily and efficiently removed. A major advantage of Picocare laser is that there is no downtime or very minimal interruption and minimal risk of sides effects.

Electrolyte Infused Hydrojelly™ Mask (tailored only for you) will provide the skin with a blast of essential electrolytes to protect skin from dryness and fatigue. Instantly soothing, anti-inflammatory prevents cell damage caused by free radicals, helps reduce redness.

1-2 weeks prior:

  • Avoid waxing and sunburn in the treatment area.
  • Avoid Laser or skin treatments.
  • Fitzpatrick IV+ skin types must be prepped on tyrosinase inhibitors and SPF.  We recommend using Skintitut Even Blend Serum, Retinol or ASAP C serum, A serum or Radiance Serum. Clients who has a severe melasma required to use Cosmelan #2.

2-4 days prior:

  • Avoid active ingredients like AHAs, BHA or retinoids
  • Stop using Cosmelan #2

Treatments involve only mild discomfort. You may experience a slight prickling sensation as the skin tissue is heated. The operator will move the handpiece carefully over the treatment area. You can expect this to be repeated in a number of passes.

Cosmelan #2 is a highly concentrated product, so during using of Cosmelan 2 cream you get the side effects are very normal! Applying a thicker layer of the product can lead to skin damage such as extreme dryness, peeling of the skin, etc. The use of the Cosmelan 2 side effects, such as:

  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Within 10 days before treatment, avoid sun exposure whenever possible and use sunscreen daily. This will help reduce the risk of discoloration.
  • Avoid Waxing: Refrain from facial waxing, electrolysis or other depilatories in the week leading up to your treatment.
  • Avoid Excess Exfoliation: Stop the use of prescription acne medications, retinol products such as Retin-A, and strong AHA or BHA products at least 3 days prior to your treatment.
  • Avoid going to the gym or excessively sweating in the 24 hours prior to your appointment.
  • Fitzpatrick IV+ skin types must be prepped on a tyrosinase inhibitor and SPF for a minimum of 2-4 weeks prior to minimise post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. We recommend using Skintitut Even Blend Serum, Retinol or ASAP C serum, A serum, Radiance Serum.
  • Apply Numbing cream 1 hour prior to the treatment.
During treatment: Treatments will involve some mild discomfort. The sensation is rather like the strap of a rubber band on the skin during the treatment. The operator will move the handpiece carefully over the treatment area. You can expect this to be repeated in a number of passes. Immediately after treatment: Expect the slight redness, swelling and there may be some pin-point bleeding spots over the treated area, especially wrinkles and scarred areas. During recovery: During the healing process, clients may experience some inflammation or skin irritations like mild redness, itching and rashes. This will take about 5 to 8 days to recover. We recommend intake Antihistamine and continue to apply Laser Aid.
  • No makeup for 7 days.
  • No exfoliation for at least 14 days.
  • Avoid heat, sun exposure, steaming, sauna, excessive heat for about 7 days.
  • Apply Laser Aid and broad-spectrum sunscreen SPF 50+ every day. If your skin feels dry and thigh apply Repair Balm after 48 hours.
  • Avoid picking, peeling, and touching the skin after the treatment. As this can cause scarring and damage to the skin
  • Client can take Antihistamine medication if rashes occur.
Laser Spot Removal Our clinic uses two different advanced laser technology which is candidates with lighter skin normally achieve faster results with Candela laser and darker skin types we will use the Pico Care 450 laser. How does it work? The Candela Alexandrite laser utilises a specific wavelength of energy to safely target the dark pigmented spots. The laser fires an intense burst of light to target the pigment lesions leaving normal surrounding skin unaffected. The laser light converts to heat to destroy the damaged pigmentation cells which turn darker over several days then fall off. How does it work? The Pico laser is shorter faster pulses because of the and photo acoustically breaks down the pigment. The Pico laser provides targeted and safer pigmentation treatments with less dermal heat than older laser technology.  Pico lasers very popular for treat melasma. The therapist will carefully use the laser to break up the pigmentation spots on the face and body one by one.
