HIFU Face Lifting

HIFU is short for High Intensity Focused Ultrasound.

HIFU target various layers of your skin, it is a medical procedure that allows the deepest penetration of energy for face lifting and skin tightening. HIFU can provide the same lifting and tightening effect as surgical facelift without having to undergo any surgery! It is commonly performed for non-surgical face lifting and skin tightening to achieve a face contouring, slimming and V shape. It has an immediate tightening effect by contracting the collagen fibres that support your skin. Most importantly, Ultraformer III-HIFU treatment stimulates long-term production of new, stronger collagen, helping to lift and tighten sagging skin and fill out wrinkles, without downtime.

Consistent Clinical Results: Patients can notice immediate results with progressive improvement up to 90 days post-treatment for peak results. These results can be maintained from 12-24 months afterwards.

HOW DOES HIFU TREATMENT WORK?

Below the surface (epidermis), your skin is made up of three important layers: the superficial dermis, the deeper dermis and the SMAS layer, the ‘infrastructure’ layer that connects your skin to the muscular structures below. With age, the building blocks of supple, youthful skin (collagen, elastic fibres and a gel-like substance called the extrafibrillar matrix) lose their strength and elasticity and the SMAS layer loses its ability to support your skin. The result is loose, sagging
and wrinkled skin.

Ultraformer treatment tackles sagging skin at all three levels. Ultraformer works with geometric precision. Micro-Focused Ultrasound sends bursts of finely tuned ultrasound energy to precise depths to stimulate regeneration. The target tissues are heated to the specific temperature required to induce ‘thermal injury’, which causes the collagen to contract, and then, over time, to produce new and stronger collagen. Ultraformer’s Exact Focusing Technology ensures that the right depth is always targeted.

Treatment benefits build gradually over a period of a few months, as the production of new collagen provides a more youthful support structure for your skin. You can expect to experience a tighter, more toned skin, along with some reversal of sagging in the treated areas.

HIFU Treatments is considered to be very safe and is performed by many trained medical professionals worldwide. It is normal for the area to feel tender immediately after the procedure. Although rare, you may experience few side effects immediately after treatment, but they will resolve within 24 hours. These may include redness, slight swelling and tingling.

Results visible 6 to 12 weeks and improve further over time. Collagen induction process continues to work for another 6 months after the treatment.

Before your HIFU treatment, you will likely be asked to avoid certain skincare products and procedures that could irritate your skin. This may include retinoids, exfoliants, and chemical peels. You should also avoid sun exposure and wear broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect your skin from further damage.

During the consultation, your therapist will discuss your medical history and any medications you’re taking to ensure that HIFU is a safe and appropriate treatment for you. They may also take photos of your face to track your progress and compare your before-and-after results.

Avoid exposing your skin to extreme temperatures of heat or cold and protect your skin with a good quality moisturizer and SPF.
No strenuous exercise for 24 to 48 hours.
‍‍Apply a gentle cream or gel every 4 to 6 hours for up to 72 hours’ post-treatment.
It is also important that you increase your water intake and stay hydrated after your treatment, also avoid caffeine and alcohol for 48 hours afterwards.
Your regular regime can be followed immediately but avoid using skin products that may irritate the skin for 24 hours afterwards.
