Laser Spot Treatment
Laser Spot Treatment
The Candela Alexandrite laser is used on lighter skin types. This laser utilises a specific wavelength of energy to safely target the dark pigmented spots. The laser fires an intense burst of light to target the pigment lesions leaving normal surrounding skin unaffected. The laser light converts to heat to destroy the damaged pigmentation cells which turn darker over several days then fall off. Treatment benefits people with uneven pigmentation, age spots, freckles, sun damaged, PIH and Melasma. Final results and number of treatments required are dependent upon skin type. Candidates with lighter skin normally achieve faster results with Candela laser and darker skin types we will use the Pico Care 450 laser. This laser has shorter faster pulses because of the Picosecond technology and photo acoustically breaks down the pigment. The Pico laser provides targeted and safer pigmentation treatments with less dermal heat than older laser technology. Less skin heating means Pico laser treatment for pigmentation is significantly safer in darker skin types. Pico lasers will also be used for melasma treatment. Even your skin tone will improve day to day as the Pico Laser promotes skin collagen production thus improving the skins surface.
