ULTRAFORMER III-HIFU
What is HIFU?
HIFU is short for High Intensity Focused Ultrasound.
HIFU target various layers of your skin, it is a medical procedure that allows the deepest penetration of energy for face lifting and skin tightening. HIFU can provide the same lifting and tightening effect as surgical facelift without having to undergo any surgery! It is commonly performed for non-surgical face lifting and skin tightening to achieve a face contouring, slimming and V shape. It has an immediate tightening effect by contracting the collagen fibres that support your skin. Most importantly, Ultraformer III-HIFU treatment stimulates long-term production of new, stronger collagen, helping to lift and tighten sagging skin and fill out wrinkles, without downtime.
Consistent Clinical Results: Patients can notice immediate results with progressive improvement up to 90 days post-treatment for peak results. These results can be maintained from 12-24 months afterwards.

HOW DOES HIFU - ULTRAFORMER WORK?
HOW DOES HIFU TREATMENT WORK?
Below the surface (epidermis), your skin is made up of three important layers: the superficial dermis, the deeper dermis and the SMAS layer, the ‘infrastructure’ layer that connects your skin to the muscular structures below. With age, the building blocks of supple, youthful skin (collagen, elastic fibres and a gel-like substance called the extrafibrillar matrix) lose their strength and elasticity and the SMAS layer loses its ability to support your skin. The result is loose, sagging
and wrinkled skin.
Ultraformer treatment tackles sagging skin at all three levels. Ultraformer works with geometric precision. Micro-Focused Ultrasound sends bursts of finely tuned ultrasound energy to precise depths to stimulate regeneration. The target tissues are heated to the specific temperature required to induce ‘thermal injury’, which causes the collagen to contract, and then, over time, to produce new and stronger collagen. Ultraformer’s Exact Focusing Technology ensures that the right depth is always targeted.
Treatment benefits build gradually over a period of a few months, as the production of new collagen provides a more youthful support structure for your skin. You can expect to experience a tighter, more toned skin, along with some reversal of sagging in the treated areas.

How HIFU Works for Eyelids?
How does HIFU Works for Eyelids?
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is a non-invasive treatment that uses ultrasound energy to target the deeper layers of the skin, promoting collagen production and tightening the skin. For under-eye aging, HIFU can be an effective way to address concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, and mild skin laxity.
Focused Ultrasound Energy: HIFU devices deliver focused ultrasound energy to specific depths of the skin under the eyes without affecting the surface. This energy generates heat, reaching layers that are typically addressed only with surgery.
Stimulating Collagen Production: The heat from ultrasound energy creates micro-injuries in the skin’s deeper layers, stimulating the body’s natural healing response. This healing process involves the production of new collagen, a protein responsible for skin firmness and elasticity.
Skin Tightening and Lifting: Over the following weeks and months, the increased collagen production leads to tighter, firmer skin under the eyes, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
How does ULTRAFORMER III-HIFU treatment work?
What to expect?
HIFU Treatments is considered to be very safe and is performed by many trained medical professionals worldwide. It is normal for the area to feel tender immediately after the procedure. Although rare, you may experience few side effects immediately after treatment, but they will resolve within 24 hours. These may include redness, slight swelling and tingling.
Results visible 6 to 12 weeks and improve further over time. Collagen induction process continues to work for another 6 months after the treatment.
Preparation
Before your HIFU treatment, you will likely be asked to avoid certain skincare products and procedures that could irritate your skin. This may include retinoids, exfoliants, and chemical peels. You should also avoid sun exposure and wear broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect your skin from further damage.
During the consultation, your therapist will discuss your medical history and any medications you’re taking to ensure that HIFU is a safe and appropriate treatment for you. They may also take photos of your face to track your progress and compare your before-and-after results.
After care
- Avoid exposing your skin to extreme temperatures of heat or cold and protect your skin with a good quality moisturizer and SPF.
- No strenuous exercise for 24 to 48 hours.

What Areas does HIFU Treat? HIFU - Ultraformer treatment is ideal for areas that are particularly prone to sagging skin, such as the cheeks and jowls, the eyebrow area, the nasolabial lines (from the nose to the corners of your mouth), and the sub-mental zone (the area under your chin). However, it can also be used very effectively for skin tightening on problem areas of different parts of the body.
Is HIFU Treatment Painful? HIFU is a comfortable procedure. Some might feel a mild ache along the jawline and cheek bone. Most patients find it bearable and resume normal activities right after the treatment.
How many shots of HIFU is required? The number of shots required varies for each patient, it depends on the clients skin condition like how severe is the sagging and what is the size of your face etc.
• Lifting and tightening loose skin
• Jowl lifts/jawline contouring
• Decreased neck lines and wrinkles
• Drooping eyebrows and eyelifts
• Body contouring
You can expect to experience two phases of Ultraformer results:
• You will feel an immediate tightening of your skin in the treated area, as the heat from the Micro-Focused Ultrasound contracts the network of collagen fibres. The strands of protein that make up collagen shrink when exposed to the levels of heat used in Ultraformer treatment.
• Micro-Focused Ultrasound also stimulates other cells, called Fibroblasts, to manufacture new, stronger collagen. This gradually develops over a period of months. The result is a gradual lifting of the skin in the treated area, as the support structures fill out.
Ultraformer benefits will peak between six and nine months after treatment. The new collagen produced will be stronger, and its structure more ‘youthful’ than previously. This in turn makes your skin stronger and better supported, helping to reverse the effects of ageing on your skin. A regular program of treatment every 6 to 12 months will maintain your results and is likely also to give you some additional improvement after each subsequent treatment.
• The degree of heat required for optimal results will probably cause some discomfort as the ultrasound energy is delivered. Your practitioner will advise a plan to optimize your comfort during the procedure. This may include medication to reduce the discomfort.
• Ultraformer treatment is highly efficient. For example, a treatment for the full face and neck will last approximately 45 minutes.
• Because Ultraformer is a non-invasive treatment, you can expect to be able to return to your normal routine right away.
• Your skin may appear red for a few hours after Ultraformer treatment.
• You may experience slight swelling, tingling or tenderness for a few days after treatment. Rarely, some patients may experience temporary bruising, welts or numbness.
• There is a slight risk of a burn to the skin, which may or may not lead to scarring. Both a burn and any scarring will respond to medical treatment.
• Temporary nerve inflammation will resolve in a few days or weeks.
• If a motor nerve has become inflamed, you might experience some temporary local muscle weakness. There could be some temporary numbness if a sensory nerve has become inflamed.
However, due to Ultraformer’s precision engineering, it is highly unlikely that either of these complications will occur.
Because Ultraformer’s Micro-Focused Ultrasound is specifically designed to treat the lower, foundational, support structures of the skin, it does not treat surface problems such as:
• Sun damaged skin
• Pigmentation
• Rosacea, blue or red facial veins or capillaries
• Acne or acne scarring
Your practitioner will advise you on the best treatment for the above conditions.
HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) and Tixel are both non-invasive skin treatments but use different technologies and have different effects on the skin.
HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound)
- Technology: Uses focused ultrasound energy to penetrate deep into the skin layers without damaging the surface. This energy stimulates collagen production by heating tissue in targeted areas.
- Depth: Reaches deeper layers of the skin, targeting the SMAS layer (Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System), which is also addressed in surgical facelifts.
- Primary Use: Effective for skin tightening, lifting, and contouring, particularly on the face, neck, and décolletage.
- Results: Gradual improvement in skin firmness and tightness, typically seen over 2-3 months as new collagen forms.
Tixel
- Technology: Uses thermal energy through a heated metal plate with tiny pyramids that briefly contact the skin, creating micro-channels. It is similar to fractional lasers but without light or radiation.
- Depth: More customizable as it works on more superficial skin layers and can vary in depth, making it suitable for sensitive areas like around the eyes.
- Primary Use: Effective for skin resurfacing, improving skin texture, treating fine lines, wrinkles, and pigmentation issues. It’s also used for drug delivery by allowing serums or other treatments to penetrate more deeply.
- Results: Visible improvements in skin texture and tone can often be seen more quickly, with minimal downtime.
Summary
- HIFU: Best for deep lifting and firming.
- Tixel: Best for superficial skin resurfacing, eye rejuvenation, texture improvement, and fine lines.
Each can be chosen depending on the patient’s needs—HIFU for tightening and lifting, and Tixel for texture and tone enhancement. They may also be complementary when combined in a treatment plan. The combination of Tixel and HIFU for an eye lift procedure offers a comprehensive approach to skin rejuvenation.
Yes, combining HIFU and Tixel can be highly effective for eye rejuvenation, as they complement each other well.
How They Work Together for Eye Rejuvenation
- HIFU: Targets deeper layers of the skin around the eyes, helping to lift and tighten the skin. This is useful for addressing sagging or drooping in areas like the upper or lower eyelid and brow area.
- Tixel: Works on the superficial layers of the skin, improving skin texture, fine lines, and wrinkles around the eyes. It’s gentle enough for use in delicate areas and helps smooth out crow’s feet, soften under-eye crepiness, and enhance skin quality.
Benefits of Combining HIFU and Tixel
- Comprehensive Rejuvenation: By addressing both deeper and surface-level skin concerns, this combination can result in more noticeable and longer-lasting eye rejuvenation.
- Dual Action on Collagen and Elasticity: HIFU boosts collagen deeper down, while Tixel focuses on the surface, improving elasticity and texture.
- Minimal Downtime with Enhanced Results: Tixel has minimal downtime, and HIFU is non-invasive. Together, they provide a potent combination without significant recovery time.
Treatment Planning: For best results, it’s generally recommended to space treatments a few weeks apart to allow the skin to recover and benefit from each modality. HIFU can be performed first to lift, followed by Tixel after a few weeks to refine texture and tone. Always ensure a customized approach based on skin type, individual needs, and tolerances, as some patients may respond di
