Cysts or Nodules

Nodular, cystic acne

Nodular acne and cystic acne are severe forms of acne. They both are inflamed lesions that show up on the surface of the skin. However, nodular acne does not have a head, whereas cystic acne does.

Cystic acne is pus-filled and usually shows up as red bumps with a white head. They’re also usually softer than nodules because they are pus-filled.

Nodular acne, on the other hand, appears as bumps on the surface of your skin. These bumps are red, painful and harder as compared to cystic acne lesions.

Pico Laser for Active Acne + Spot treatment

(Suitable for perfect for reducing acne, red acne scars and improving your overall skin texture)

How does it works?  The treatment combines Pico Laser Toning nd: YAG 1064nm, acne extraction and Laser spot treatment for active acne using 595 wavelength.

  • Pico Laser Toning nd: YAG 1064nm is a very gentle, non-invasive laser that works by gently heating the deeper layers of the skin using a very short delivery method to shatter pigment, stimulate collagen production and skin refinement without any downtime.
  • Dye 595mm picosecond laser targets the protein hemoglobin in red blood cells, which converts light energy into heat energy. This heat then destroys the problematic blood vessels under the skin’s surface. The treatment is a fast and easy solution for reducing facial redness and red acne scars (post inflammatory erythema).

  • Treatment time: 60 minutes
  • Downtime: mild erythema but will go away quickly after a few hours.

  • Preparation: avoid sun exposure and retinoids for 3 days before treatment.
  • Post care: Avoid direct sun exposure, always protect the skin with a broad-spectrum sunscreen. Avoid exercise, and heat in the treated area (hot showers, saunas). We highly recommended to use Laser Aid twice a day after the treatment for 3-5 days.
